Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta
played host to a special event, The 12th ELITE International Conference.
Scholars from various parts of the world gathered to celebrate intellectual
diversity in the fields of linguistics, literature, and English language
education. In collaboration with The 3rd International Symposium and The 5th
Adab International Conference and Cultural Science (A-ICONICS), this conference
became a stage for uniting in-depth discussions.
During the conference held from May 28 to May 30, 2024,
participants were deeply immersed in exploring the latest advancements and
innovative methodologies across the three key domains of linguistics,
literature, and English Language Teaching (ELT). Discussions ranged from modern
linguistic analysis to classical literature interpretation, and effective
English language teaching strategies in the digital age. Special panels also
addressed the challenges and opportunities in advancing intercultural
understanding through linguistic and literary studies.
One of the highlights of the conference was the presentation
of various scholarly papers reflecting the diversity of approaches and
methodologies in research in these fields. Participants also had the
opportunity to enjoy stimulating art and cultural performances in the city of
Yogyakarta, adding vibrancy to this intellectual endeavor.
Prof. Dr. Hj. Like Raskova Octaberlina, M. Ed., the President of ELITE Association (the Association of
English Lecturers of Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia),
expressed appreciation for the success of the event. "This conference not
only served as a platform for the exchange of ideas but also as a space to

the success of the event. "As a representative of the Association
of English Lecturers of Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of

Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, the Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Dakwah, the Head

of English Lecturers of Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of
Indonesia, speakers, and participants for their valuable
contributions of ideas and experiences. Additionally, I would like to thank all
individuals involved in organizing and supporting the event. The success of
this conference would not have been possible without the hard work and
collaboration of every individual and entity involved. Thank you for your
dedication and cooperation."
